Infección por VIH y desarrollo de fenómenos autoinmunes
Resumen
La etiología de las enfermedades autoinmunes sistémicas permanece aún desconocida. Se ha invocado a los retrovirus humanos como factores desencadenantes de las mismas. La infección por virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana y el síndrome inflamatorio de reconstitución inmune se han vinculado al desarrollo de síndrome antifosfolipídico, lupus eritematoso sistémico, síndrome de Sjögren y vasculitis sistémicas, entre otras. Presentamos dos casos clínicos cuyo nexo común fue la presencia de manifestaciones autoinmunes en el contexto de la infección por el virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana.
