Contributions of Gabriel Adriazola to medical law from the Medical Journal of Uruguay
Abstract
The premature and surprising death of Dr. Gabriel Adriasola Pouso (1960-2013) moved the Editorial Board of the Medical Journal of Uruguay.
Adriasola was not only a talented lawyer, but for years he had become one of the leading referents of Medical Law in the country. To his career as an advisor to the Ethics Court of the Medical Federation of the Interior, he had added a substantial contribution to the Medical College of Uruguay in its training and implementation stage. His death comes shortly after taking charge of the legal advice of the College's Ethics Court, of whose Rules of Procedure he was the author. In addition, since June 25, 2012, the Council of the Faculty of Medicine had appointed him as an honorary professor of the Department of Legal Medicine.
