Abstract

The Editorial Board of the Medical Magazine of Uruguay has decided to designate the name of the Medical Magazine of Uruguay - Roemmers Laboratory with the name of María Rosa Remedio, with which the best original article published in the four numbers corresponding to the year 2011. will be distinguished. more important to the national original biomedical publication, which year after year stimulates and recognizes our researchers.
Dr. María Rosa Remedio was an exemplary combination of excellence in medical practice, scientific performance, teaching dedication and union militancy. He participated in all those levels leaving a mark of the ethical framework to follow.
Especially relevant was his contribution to continuous medical professional development.
