Challenges of health datafication in Uruguay during the COVID-19 pandemic
Abstract
Datification and actions to combat the crisis can be understood as a field, which we define in Bourdieu's sense as a system of social relations that function in an area where there is competition for the same and whose dynamics has its own internal logic ( 5). The possibility of dominance in this field, following the author, would be given by the ability to appropriate the space in a symbolic or material way, depending on the capital that each agent possesses. This conceptualization may be useful to analyze the dynamics of the datification of the pandemic in Uruguay.
