New incentives for national biomedical publications

Abstract

The Uruguayan Medical Journal continues the process of consolidation as the national biomedical publication of reference. With the adaptation of the editorial policies, the objectives of increasing the visibility of the articles and shortening the time between the definitive acceptance by the Editorial Board and its accessibility to the public.At the same time, the improvement of quality standards was prioritized, incorporating more foreign experts to the list of arbitrators, the creation of an International Advisory Committee, and greater specialization in the areas of advice on publishing and scientific.
